Raphaël Voinchet

Biography

Born in 1976, Raphaël Voinchet studied both Mathematics and Architecture.

In 1998, he enrolled in the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland where he graduated with a diploma in architecture in 2001.

In 2002, he created W-Architectures, which he continues to oversee and develop today.

In 2006, he was the winner of the Nouveaux Albums des Jeunes Architectes (New Illustrated Books of Young Architects) awarded by the Ministère de la Culture).

In December 2009, he was nominated for the award Palmarès de la Première Oeuvre.

In May 2012, he received the Grand Prize and Gold Medal of the International Academy of Architecture.

He taught at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Architecture de Toulouse, he regularly gives conferences in his field of study.
